The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on the N-facing slope of Knocknaveacal. The remains of a circular hut site (2.9m N-S; 2.7m E-W) defined by the lower courses of a collapsed drystone wall (T c. 0.6m; H 0.45m). The larger stones in these lower courses protrude above the bog. Rubble from the collapsed upper courses obscures the interior.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
