The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill pasture, on the S side of a knoll on the N-facing slope of Knocknaveacal. The remains of an oval hut site (3.25m NW-SE; 1.9m SW-NE) defined by a roughly built, drystone wall (T c. 0.65m; H 0.75m). The larger stones of the lower courses are partly grass covered and protrude above the blanket bog. The hut site is obscured by ferns. A relict field boundary (KE108-053002-) is in the immediate vicinity to the SW.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
