The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on a N-facing slope overlooking a river valley. The remains of a curvilinear stone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.5m), which protrude above the surface of the bog (D 0.6m) at the S, extend to the N for c. 20m, turn to the W for c. 40m and then curve to the N for c. 35m. From this area another line of the wall extends in a general W direction for a distance of c. 50m. There are several gaps in the wall. Occasional stretches of rubble are embedded in the bog beside the wall.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
