The National Monuments Service's description

On rough hill pasture, on a terrace, on a NW-facing slope, in the valley of the Sheen River. An oval area (19m NE-SW; 12m NW-SE) defined by a low bank (Wth 1.2m; H 0.2m) of earth and stone. The entrance (Wth 0.5m) at S is defined by low stones. The SW portion of the level interior is raised (H 0.5m) and the SE portion is cut into the upslope (H 0.2m) to compensate for the hillslope. Two relict field boundaries (KE102-080001-, KE102-080003-) are c. 60m to the NNW and c. 40m to the NE, respectively.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
