The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture, on a NW-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Sheen River. A circular area (13m N-S; 12.5m E-W) defined by an inner and outer row of contiguous upright stones (T 1.4m; H 0.5m) infilled with rubble and earth. There is an entrance gap (Wth 2m) at E. The NW portion of the interior is raised (H 0.7m) to compensate for the hillslope. There is another enclosure (KE102-017----) c. 20m to the W.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
