The National Monuments Service's description
The remains of this drystone hut, which are located near the centre of the island at the junction of two field boundaries, have been modified for use as a sheepfold. Measuring 6.1m N-S x 5.8m E-W internally, it features a .9m wide entrance at NE.
The above description is derived from O'Sullivan, A. and Sheehan, J. (compilers) 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University press. (1996), no. 974. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
