The National Monuments Service's description

Much of the central and W end of the island is occupied by a series of field boundaries. Of uncertain date, these include both earthen banks and stone walls and enclose both curvilinear and rectilinear areas. Traces of cultivation ridges are preserved in some of these. A number of the boundaries overlie the causeway, while others traverse house sites, several of which occur at the junction of field boundaries. The house sites total nine in number and appear to be of various dates.

The above description is derived from O'Sullivan, A. and Sheehan, J. (compilers) 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University press. (1996), no. 974. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
