The National Monuments Service's description

This poorly preserved megalithic chamber is situated on the S side of a low ridge which overlooks Ballinskelligs Bay to S. Three orthostats survive in situ; two form an angled W side to the chamber, while the third, at N, may be an end-stone. Three prostrate slabs nearby may represent E side-stones and a roof-stone. Traces of an oval cairn surround the structure, though the rubble fill within the chamber appears to be modern field clearance. The S stone on the W side of the chamber is .96m long, .32m thick and .67m high. The N stone on this side is 1.02m long, .38m thick and .8m high. The stone at the N end of the monument, disposed at right angles to the latter, is regular in elevation and is partly concealed. It is at least 1m long, and measures .44m thick and .45m high. The stones which formed the E side of the chamber have collapsed inwardly and are largely covered in sod. A displaced slab which lies within the chamber may have originally served as a roof-stone. This measures 1.2m long by .6m wide.

The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 85. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
