The National Monuments Service's description
This standing stone, which is not marked on the OS maps, is situated in an area of flat bogland NW of Ballinskelligs Bay. It is 1.65m high and measures 1.25m x .22m at base, tapering strongly towards the top; NW-SE. Skinner recorded another five 'Gallauns' within this townland (ITA); however, these are not remembered locally and are not recorded on the OS maps.
