The National Monuments Service's description
In the 1940s a 'stone circle' which stood in a rath (KE093-003----) in Edward Tuohy's land, and which consisted of 'about 15 stones of varying sizes with a diameter of about 35 feet [10.66m]' was recorded (ITA). There are, however, no visible remains of any stone circle here. As the feature described stood in a rath, it is unlikely to have been a stone circle. However, the stones may have formed some type of internal enclosure.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
