The National Monuments Service's description
In a rath (KE093-002----). According to local information, the entrance to a souterrain was located near the centre of the rath and consisted of stone steps leading to an underground chamber roofed with slabs. This entrance has been backfilled and there are no visible remains of this souterrain.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
