The National Monuments Service's description
The hut (KE090-017001-) occupies almost the entire interior of the site and is internally divided by a modern wall. It has an internal diameter of 6.4m 5.9m, and its well-preserved wall of faced drystone masonry is 1.45m high and up to 2m wide. Its E facing entrance, marked by an upright slab on its S side, is 1.1m wide.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 588. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
