The National Monuments Service's description

A circular enclosure is indicated at this location on the first edition of the OS map. It is located in level pasture on the W bank of the Inny, just N of where the Cummeranearla stream joins the river. A roughly oval area, 23m NW-SE, is defined from NW through to SE by a setting of upright slabs. The slabs average .5m high and 1.2m wide at base, and a low stony bank, .2m high, abuts them externally at NW. An upright slab at E is set at right angles to the line of the enclosure and may have formed part of an entrance feature; it measures .97m high, 1.04m wide at base and .15m thick. A slight linear depression may indicate the outline of the enclosure along its W side.

The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 709. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
