The National Monuments Service's description

In undulating pasture, on a rise, overlooking the valley of the River Roughty. This rath is not visible at ground level though an associated souterrain (KE085-014001-) is visible. The rath is indicated on the 1895 OS 6-inch map as a sub-oval area (c. 30m N-S; c. 25m E-W). There is a children's burial ground (KE085-014002-) c. 70m to the SE.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
