The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture, on the W side of a peat-covered hillock overlooking the headwaters of Kenmare Bay. The remains of a curvilinear stone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.3m) protrude intermittently above the surface of the bog as they extend for a distance of c. 90m to the SSE from a recent roadside field boundary. There is a hut site (KE084-073001-) and a souterrain (KE084-073002-) c. 16m to the E.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
