The National Monuments Service's description
In dry hill pasture, on a S-facing slope, with a small stream to the W. This possible enclosure is not visible at ground level. It is indicated as a very small square enclosure (dims. c. 3m) on the 1895 OS 6-inch map. The immediate and surrounding areas have been surface-drained in recent times and are cleared of field fences, boulders and other material. Several mounds of field-clearance stones occur. One such mound is situated in the approximate location of this possible enclosure.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
