The National Monuments Service's description

In level pasture, on the lower S-facing slope of Mangertonbeg Mountain. This standing stone (1.4m x 0.6m; H 2m) is oblong in plan and subrectangular in section and is orientated NE-SW. It tapers towards the top and leans slightly to the SE. There are two smaller upright stones, with some field-clearance stones piled up around their bases, to the N and NW. The N stone (0.95m x 0.4m; H 0.85m), which is 1.4m N of the standing stone, is orientated NE-SW and is rectangular in plan. The NW stone (0.75m x 0.3m; H 0.65m), which is 0.7m to the NW of the NE stone, is orientated E-W and is rectangular in plan. It is not possible to determine whether these two smaller stones are part of the field-clearance debris.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
