The National Monuments Service's description

In rough boggy pasture, on a S-facing slope overlooking the headwaters of Kenmare Bay. The remains of a horseshoe-shaped mound (c. 12m N-S; 10m E-W) which has been eroded at E and now consists of two crescent-shaped mounds to the N and S (N mound: 5m N-S; 4m E-W; max. H 0.4m; S mound: 5m N-S; 10m E-W; max. H 0.5m). Both mounds comprise burnt material and are embedded in the surrounding bog. The opening (c. 3.5m N-S) faces W. There is a stream c. 70m to the NW.
