This complex of pre-bog walls occurs on the steep E slope of Boughil mountain, overlooking the valley of the Finnihy river to SE. Up to forty stretches of walling, both curvilinear and rectilinear, occur in an area which extends c. 70m N-S x c. 100m E-W. The walls average 20m long and both run across and with the mountain slope. They extend from .2m to .7m above the present bog surface and are preserved mostly as low stony banks.
Scattered within this area are a number of roughly built, subcircular enclosures, which average 5m in diameter. Some are encircled by shallow ditches and may have functioned as fionnán enclosures (KE083-088001-). Located at the W end of the complex is a fulacht fiadh (KE083-088002-) of crescentic shape, 8.9m N-S x 7m E-W. The mound is open to W, where a central depression measures 2.2m x 1.8m. It is composed of fire-shattered stone and blackened earth.
