The National Monuments Service's description
This stone, the upper surface of which is decorated, is located in bog on the upper S slopes of Knocklomena, W of a stream that flows S from Lough Fadda. It measures 1.95m x .9m in maximum dimensions, and features a single ring and a cup-and-three rings. The site commands extensive views to S over Kenmare Bay to the Beara Peninsula.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 292. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

In area of mountain heath (255m OD), with a lot of boulders, on a S-facing slope of Knocklomena mountain. Not located. According to O’Sullivan & Sheehan (1996, 88-89), ‘This stone, the upper surface of which is decorated, is located in bog on the upper S slopes of Knocklomena, W of a stream that flows S from Lough Fadda. It measures 1.95m x .9m in maximum dimensions, and features a single ring and a cup-and-three rings. The site commands extensive views to S over Kenmare Bay to the Beara Peninsula.
