The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on the S-facing slopes of Knocklomena. The remains of mainly linear field walls (T 0.7m; H 0.3m) protrude intermittently above the surface of the bog and cover a roughly rectangular area (c. 350m E-W; c. 200m N-S). A standing stone (KE083-078----) and rock art (KE083-079----) are within this field system.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
