The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill pasture, on blanket bog, on a S-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Blackwater River. Stretches of mainly curvilinear stone field walls (T 0.6m; H 0.6m) protrude intermittently above the surface of the bog and cover a roughly rectangular area (c. 370m E-W; 200m N-S). Stones run on into deeper bog at irregular intervals. There are two enclosures (KE082-050001-, KE082-050004-) and two hut sites (KE082-050003-, KE082-050005-) within this network of field walls.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
