The National Monuments Service's description

At the head of the Inny river valley, close to its S bank. A drystone hut situated on a low knoll in an otherwise peat-covered expanse. Field clearance piled against the hut of subcircular plan. D: 3.5m x 3.2m. H: .7m. T: 1m. The site is known locally as 'an liosachán' (information: B.Ó Cíobháin).

The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 1356. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
