The National Monuments Service's description
Cloghaunleaghaniska Fort/Clochán Liath: This site is shown on the first edition of the OS map as a circular enclosure. On the second edition map it is marked 'site of’. There is now no trace of the site, which was located N of the confluence of the Owroe and Inny rivers just SW of Colly mountain. It was described in the OSNB as a 'circular earthen fort' (Drummod, 19).
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 652. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
