The National Monuments Service's description

Internal diam. 21.2m N-S, 19.8m E-W
The severely denuded and overgrown remains of this caher are located on the N bank of the Inny river. The wall which enclosed the circular interior is now reduced to a band of debris in which a few stretches of inner and outer facing are visible. These are formed of large, horizontally-laid slabs. The wall width indicated by the present remains is 2m. No entrance can be identified. There is a scattering of stone in the site's overgrown interior, but no definite structures are discernible. A number of walls, which may be coeval with the caher, extend from its external face at S and run towards the banks of the river.

The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 569. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
