The National Monuments Service's description
On the rugged W slopes of Killelan, at Doulus Head. A rectangular sheepfold overlies an earlier circular structure, possibly a hut. Fragments of two quern-stones were found c. 18m to NW (Henry 1957, 59).
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 1310. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
