The National Monuments Service's description
Located in a level marshy field, on the immediate E side of a small stream, on the S side of the old Killarney-Ballyvourney road, on lower gently sloping mountain side on the 240m contour. The dominant aspect from the site is to the SE and W. This is a low grass-covered, kidney-shaped mound, measuring 15m N-S by 7m E-W, 1m in maximum height. A 1m wide entrance to a 2.5m wide trough, 0.4m below the crest of the mound. This trough area is on the W side of the mound, and is open to the nearby stream, which is approximately 5m away.
