The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on a S-sloping bog to the E of Coomnacronia Lake. The poorly preserved remains of a rectangular hut site (2.9m N-S; 2m E-W) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.7m; H 0.9m). Larger stones in the roughly constructed, lower courses protrude above the surface of the bog. There is an entrance (Wth 0.5m) at E. The interior is obscured by rubble. Another hut site (KE071-064001-) is c. 25m to the S.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
