The National Monuments Service's description
This flat section of outcrop, measuring 3.1m x 1.6m, features a lightly pocked circular area at its N end and a haphazard grouping of pockmarks at SE.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 338. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

In area of mountain heath (150m), with a concentration of rock outcrop and boulders, on a general NE-facing slope; Good views of Behy River valley NE->E. Not located. According to O’Sullivan & Sheehan (1996, 101), this ‘flat section of rock outcrop, measuring 3.1m x 1.6m, features a lightly pocked circular area at its N end and a haphazard grouping of pockmarks at SE’. The SMR file states that this is ‘a very smooth though stepped portion of rock outcrop whose surface bears only one motif at its N end’ which is ‘a surface pocked flat disc 23cm x 23cm’ and ‘50cm SE are a haphazard collection of 10 pockmarks, set close together’.
