The National Monuments Service's description

This large block-like standing stone is located a short distance S of the River Laune, on a slight rise in a large field. Irregular in both elevation and in ground plan, it stands 1.7m high and measures 1.5m x 1.1m at base; NE-SW.

The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 159. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
