The National Monuments Service's description
Labballow Fort/Leaba na Bó(?) or Lios Bán na Bó: There is now no visible trace of this monument, which was located on a slight ridge overlooking a level expanse of pastureland to E. Marked on the first edition of the OS map as a large oval enclosure, with a second bank indicated along its W half, it is marked ‘site of’ on the second edition.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 664. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
