The National Monuments Service's description
This site was located on low-lying land a short distance W of the Gaddagh river. On the second edition of the OS map it is marked as a circular enclosure. The site was discernible until about twenty years ago (local information), but occasional flooding has apparently resulted in its erosion.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 823. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
