The National Monuments Service's description
A large, almost circular mound was levelled by ploughing at this location during the 1960s. It was composed of shattered stone (local information). At present no visible trace of this probable fulacht fiadh remains. It was located on the W bank of Tullynascally stream, in marshy land N of Knockbrack mountain.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 408. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
