The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, built into the S bank of a rath (KE057-065----). The front wall (Wth c. 5m; H c. 2.5m) faces S. A lintelled recess is off-centre to the left. The front and E side are built of random rubble. Collapsed material has been neatly stacked up against the W side. The funnel opening (diam. c. 1.8m) has been blocked with old farm machinery.
