The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on a gentle S-facing slope. A children's burial ground is indicated on the 1846 OS 6-inch map as a circular area (diam. c. 25m), c. 70m E of a rath (KE057-065----), and is named 'Killeen Burial Ground'. The area has been deep ploughed and the burial ground is not visible at ground level. A field boundary indicated on the 1846 OS 6-inch map immediately to the W of the burial ground has been removed and another one erected further to the E now crosses the site of the burial ground. According to local information, a prostrate stone (L 1.35m; 0.35m x 0.2m) (KE057-066001-) which is now c. 40m to the E of the burial ground, stood upright c. 15m to the W of the burial ground but was moved to its present location in the 1970s/80s.
