The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on a dry area above the floodplain of the Laune River. The rath is indicated on the 1846 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) while on the 1895 OS 6-inch map only the N and E arcs are depicted. The remains of a D-shaped area (dim. c. 20m E-W) is evident which is defined by a denunded scarp (H c. 2.2m) N-S and by a linear N-S field boundary at W (L c. 34m). The remaining surface of the rath is heavily eroded and poached by cattle. There is evidence of recent soil excavation from the area.
