The National Monuments Service's description

In the 1940s it was recorded that the ruins of Kilnnrovanagh church were in a rath (KE057-051001-) on Buckley's land (Schools Manuscript, Co. Kerry). There are no visible remains of a church in the rath, which is named 'Lisnarovanagh' on the 1895 OS 6-inch map. There is, however, another record from the 1940s which places Kilnarovanagh church on the land of Mr Buckley, opposite Faha School, though it was noted that the church was demolished and the 'stones removed and used in later churches' (ITA). Faha school is indicated, in Knocknagowna townland, on the 1895 OS 6-inch map and is c. 1.25km S of the rath.
