The National Monuments Service's description

Lissonenakilla/Lios an Anacail: Roughly oval cashel KE054-019---- is situated on a N facing slope overlooking the Lispole valley. The centre of the enclosure is occupied by a circular clochaun (KE054-019001-) and in the SE quadrant, abutting the cashel wall, is a mound (KE054-019002-) 8.5m in maximum extent and c. 0.5m high; the function of the latter is not clear.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 536. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
