The National Monuments Service's description

In a rath (KE048-089001-). In the 1940s it was recorded that the rath had been used 'till recently as a killouragh for the burial of unbaptised children' (Minutes of the Co. Kerry Field Club, 1946, vol. 2, 702). A number of small humps in the interior of the rath may mark graves but there are no grave-markers in evidence. (Castleisland District Archaeological Survey)
