The National Monuments Service's description
In rough wet pasture, on the N side of the Maine River. The rath is not visible at ground level and the area is covered in a thick growth of rushes. An oval area (c. 60m N-S; c. 50m E-W), defined by three upstanding banks with intervening fosses and an outer fosse, is visible in an aerial photograph (HSAP, 8903-2) taken in June 1962. The outer bank and fosse are visible only along the N and E arcs.
