The National Monuments Service's description
The site of the circular univallate enclosure shown on the 1st edition of the OS map is marked only by a low, grass-grown mound. A small section of a low bank was visible until about 7 years ago (local information). It was located in gently sloping pastureland near the foot of the S slopes of the ridge that extends W from Flemingstown mountain.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 729. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
