The National Monuments Service's description

Lismore/An Lios Mór: A large, roughly oval enclosure (KE045-018----) situated on a gentle NNW facing slope of Flemingstown mountain.

The remains of a small sub-rectangular hut KE045-018001- are located directly W of the large N gap. A low bank of earth and stones encloses an area 2.5m x 3.2m in extent. The bank is up to .5m high and c. 1.1m wide, and either of the gaps in the E and S walls could represent the original entrance. The remainder of the interior of the rath is occupied by a series of NW-SE cultivation ridges.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 423. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
