The National Monuments Service's description
Cashel KE045-014---- is marked on the 2nd edition of the OS map only by a curve in the townland boundary, but the remains of the enclosing wall can still be traced around the entire perimeter, and 2 rectangular house sites and a souterrain are visible in the interior.
House 2: This abuts the cashel wall at W. It measures 8.3m E-W and 5.3m N-S internally and the drystone-built walls are 1.2m wide and c. 0.5m high. The 2 opposed entrances in the N and S walls are now defaced.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 543. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
