The National Monuments Service's description

Internal diam. 32m N-S (estimated), 24m E-W
Lissanillaun/Lios an Oileáin: A univallate rath situated about 150m E of Lisnadromin (KE044-016----), on a S facing slope at the foot of the central mountain ridge. Both the bank and fosse have been levelled in the SE quadrant of the enclosure. The bank is 2m high externally, 1.5m high internally and c. 3m wide. The fosse is a maximum of 1.75m deep and is 4m wide. The low stone wall which skirts the outer edge of the fosse in the W sector appears to be a later feature. The causewayed entrance at N is 3m wide. The SE sector of the enclosure appears to have been removed to accomodate a series of 4 rectangular house foundations which occupy the interior. A later wall also extends a short distance to SE from the E end of the bank and then angles to run SW, as if forming a boundary or garden wall to replace the original bank. The foundations vary in size from 16m x 4m to 6.5m x 3.5m, and all are aligned N-S. As the enclosure is complete on the OS maps, and as these house-sites are not shown, they are probably post-1894 in date.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 396. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
