The National Monuments Service's description
Roughly circular univallate rath KE044-125---- is situated on a gentle NE facing slope, in undulating pastureland at the foot of the Knocknanacree ridge.
A possible hut site (KE044-125001-) occupies the centre of the enclosure. It consists of a band of small stones enclosing an area 3.5m square and open to S. The only other feature visible in the interior is a depression in the NW sector which measures 2.5m in diameter and .5m in depth.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 459. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
