The National Monuments Service's description
Marked on the 1st edition of the OS map as a univallate circular enclosure and named 'Fort' on the Fair plan, this site is now marked by an irregular patch of bare ground in an otherwise grassy field. This measures 30m N-S and 45m E-W. The site is located in undulating pastureland on the N side of the Knocknanacree ridge.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 704. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
