The National Monuments Service's description
KE044-094---- was marked on the 1st edition of the OS map as a circular ring of dots.
A cross-inscribed ogham stone formerly acted as a lintel over the doorway to a D-shaped clochaun (KE044-094001-) which stood within the enclosure.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 699. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
