The National Monuments Service's description

The circular enclosure marked on the OS maps has been almost totally destroyed. It was situated on a SE facing slope overlooking the Minard valley. The outline of the enclosing bank or wall is indicated by a c. 2.5m wide band of bare ground, strewn with small stones, which surrounds a roughly circular area 23m in diameter. To SE a 2m wide section of this feature is grass-grown and this may mark the location of the entrance. A filled in fosse, c. 5m wide, is discernible along the W sector. The site lay directly W of the townland boundary which curves slightly E to respect it.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 686. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
