The National Monuments Service's description
This stone stands in a level pasture field less than a half-mile (.8km) NW of Anascaul village. It is 2.73m high and measures 2.26m x .86m at base; E-W. A number of packing stones are visible around the base.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 69. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
