The National Monuments Service's description
This record was listed in the SMR (1990) and the RMP (1997) as being in two townlands, Derrymore East and Shanakeal. However, this enclosure is in Shanakeal townland only (see 'Dingle Peninsula Archaeological Survey' report now included in SMR file for locational details). This is enclosure 'A' with trigonometrical station at its centre and described as a 'nearly circular stone built enclosure'. (SMR file).
